tomorrow's pottery workshop in SoHo!
I write to you from a cozy chair in a dear friend’s home in Brooklyn. The sun is glittering on my face as it slowly fades between the trees. This home has been part of my life longer than any of my own homes in the city, and I’m grateful to have spent this past week in its safe embrace. Life hasn’t been the smoothest of seas lately, but in moments like this one, I feel overwhelmed by love and embraced wholeheartedly by my community. It reminds me to soak in what I do have rather than reaching tirelessly for what I don’t.
Another thing I have - that I don’t celebrate enough - is my ecosystem of creative healing businesses and practices that I’ve built up from scratch.
Over the last couple of years, drawn from the deep creative corners of my mind, I birthed a workshop that weaves together essences of me and my practices. When I host these workshops, I feel like my peak creative self, like this is what I was meant to be doing with my life. I lead my guests through meditations with clay and creative exercises that make us all giggle. We play and disconnect from our phones so we can more deeply connect with ourselves and each other. It feels like magic every single time.
