My grandma’s sewing machine and I were reunited this week after three months apart. I have dreams of quilting together old fabrics as I weave together a slower life for myself in the mountains. A desert summer spent with my hands stitching textiles and shaping clay, bringing beautiful new objects into the world from materials that were here long before my hands met them. I’m feeling more grounded and steady than I have in many moons. With this steadiness comes a long trip back to my home of nearly a decade (would love for you to join me in SoHo at the end of the month, if you’re in NYC!) and I’m curious how I’ll feel, what’ll come up for me as I navigate my past life with fresh eyes.
The shift into April is a greater one than months past - with a change in seasons and eclipses in our universe, things may be feeling more intense. It’s a time for pause and reflection, of shedding what’s no longer working for you. I invite you to take a deep breath, notice where you’re holding tension as you sit with a moment of stillness. Rest your eyes on the moodboard below, a visual space I created for this coming month, and ask yourself how you would like to show up these coming weeks. What small shifts you can make in your life to bring more fullness? What is no longer be serving you that you can release? What you would like to call in?
My intention for April is slowing down and making space for reflection. I’m curious about releasing patterns and habits that don’t serve my time and energy (screens and email boundaries, for two) and am calling in my inner knowing, listening to my gut feelings and trusting their presence.
May we all take a moment to acknowledge the shifting tides in our worlds and work toward better serving ourselves and our loved ones.
i’m getting together with the dream team behind blank studio NYC to host a community gathering in their beautiful space in soho on april 28th (!!!) join us for a slow sunday morning of clay play and manifesting - lock your seat here to zen out with us :)
i’m so excited to offer a limited number of one-on-one creative ritual and grounding sessions - to anyone, anywhere! learn more about how you can ground with me using clay and your breath + find your way if you’re feeling a little unsteady here (and use the code HEALINGCLAY for $11 off!)
i’m continuing to grow my therapy practice in nyc - if you or someone you know is feeling stuck, lost at sea, frustrated, or hurting - I’m here! *please know that, because of licensing, you must live in new york state for us to work together!
